How to Build a Profitable Coaching Brand
Many times in building a business I can feel overwhelming to feel like you have to be the face of your brand. But the truth is unless you’re some well-known corporation like target or McDonald’s it’s going to be important that you showcase who you are. Long gone are the days were people buy products simply because they want to buy them. There’s a reason if they connect and resonate with you therefore there’s a reason that they would invest with working with you. So in today’s blog, I’m going to share four ways to effectively build your brand online:
Show Up
The biggest mistake I find coaches making is thinking that if they slap a quote, post and picture here and there that the clients will come flocking to them. This is why when most people step into their coaching role they attract crickets NOT clients! I don’t want that for you. If you want to build a profitable and impactful business it’s going to require you to show up. The best way to do this is to determine where your clients are and consider how you can meet them there. Do your clients love YouTube ? If so can you create an engaging channel? Do your clients love Instagram -how can you create reels to draw them in? Being intentional about showing up REGULARLY will help to solidify your brand AND keep you constantly on your clients minds.
Share Your Journey
When you share the behind the scenes it’s helps you to build credibility by establishing yourself as a trustworthy expert. It also builds connection and lets people see why they can relate to you. You can do this by sharing the behind the scenes journey of you growing your business or creating a product or even a lifestyle post of what you’re doing on your spare time.
Make It Clear Who You’re Supporting
take some time to consider who you’re helping. Who is your target market? What groups would most benefit from your coachin Resist the urge to try and be everything to everyone. I know I was guilty of this for a long time. I wanted to help “women” but not every woman is in the same boat. It’s important you’re clear on who you’re coaching.
Be Authentic
there are far too many coaches trying to copy and mimic what other big names coaches are doing. Honestly, this is the quickest way to get lost in all the noise. Coaching is all about authenticity because this helps you to STAND OUT as a highly sought after coach. For me and my audience I have come to learn that video helps me to showcase mouth and dizzy. Sometimes I’ll get on video and I’ll be sweaty or other times I am stuttering over my words, or I’ll make a silly mistakes etc, but I feel like that resonates with my audience. They get to see the human side of who I am. More importantly it activates the part of your braid that desires a connection which releases the hormone oxytocin which in turn releases the feelings of knowing, liking and trusting someone. This has allowed me to really build a strong brand simply by being myself.
Have a Polished Online Presence
While selfies are cool to take from time to time you want your online image to represent your brand. Brand concepts including logos, colors and taglines are also important in this industry. This helps people to differentiate your brand from others. Think about it - there is a BIG difference from Walmart and Target. Also you can tell the two apart easily snd effortlessly. You want the same concept for your brand. So when you’re working on your brand be sure to take time to polish your online presence. This can be done by updating your website, creating content that’s aligned with your voice and your message. Creating a consistent brand logo and using the same colors and fonts. This will play a big role in your clients perception of your brand and help them to know your brand from a mile away!
