Since coaching is an unregulated field, anyone can create their own program and even their own certification process. This is why it's important to understand what board you would be certified under and determine if their values align with yours as well. For me, when I was becoming certified I found what I thought to be the best board to be certified under just to find out that they did not support moms in general. As a coach that works with many moms, and being a mom myself this did not align with my overall business objectives and goals. I later found a board that aligned with my needs and the things I wanted to offer and bring to my clients.
Choose Coaching Training that Fits Your Values
Every certification program approaches coaching from their worldview and experience. For example you may find some Christian based programs etc. It's important to ensure you're getting a certification that aligns with your overall personal and business values as well.

Some programs can be too niched that its hard to really factor in all of the things that are important at the foundational level of your business. Such as the practical coaching skills etc. Find practical coaching training that will help you develop coaching mindsets, skills sets and tool sets and then you can determine if you would like to niche down further (i.e. becoming an anxiety coach, divorce support coach etc.).
