Discover Yourself After Divorce

Going through my divorce was one of the most difficult things I have ever experienced.

Letting go of the image I had in my head about my family, life, dreams, and plans felt unbearable.

I had to learn to create a new picture in my head and mentally doing this was much more difficult than physically trying to understand.

After over six months of trying to get my mind and my life together, I knew I needed help.

I knew that I could no longer allow shame and embarrassment to keep me stuck.

The reality is life changes a lot after divorce and it's easy to lose yourself.
After my divorce I took a lot of time to reflect on my needs, wants, desires and takeaways. This process hurt, but I also knew it was refining me and therefore I made it a priority to push through the pain to find the purpose behind my experience.

I took time to focus on personal development so that I could find the person that I had buried away for too long- myself.

I took time to learn to LOVE myself not for the pain and the hurt, but for the resilience and strength.
During one of the most difficult times of my life I learned to put myself first. I learned how to heal my hurt.
With healing came knowing. I came to see that I loved spending time alone, traveling and reading.

I was excited to see the benefits of self care so I started to make these regular practices. I have learned to have fun simply being me and that feeling is like no other.

What would happen if you got to really know yourself?

Sure, you might know your favorite color, favorite food and favorite movie, but.....

Do you really know deep down under the surface what's bothering you?
Do you really know deep down what's hurting you?
Do you gave an understanding of what is keeping you stuck?
Do you truly know deep down how to heal your heart and your mind?
I was able to find the good in goodbye and it changed my life in ways that I couldn’t even imagine were possible
I remember feeling like I would never heal after my divorce and that this was all life had to offer

It took a lot of time and a ton of ups and downs to find my new beginning but I found it and you can too

The good news is you don’t have to go through this alone.
