How to create a circle of excellence

Negative emotions often consume us and can negatively impact our life. What if I told you that you could choose a more positive emotion and step into that when necessary.  Good news is you can.

As an NLP practitioner I learned about a concept, I love, called anchoring.Anchoring is where you set up a stimulus response pattern so that you can feel how you want to when you need to. It's the process of associating an internal response with an external trigger.

Some people choose to anchor on shirts or knuckles, but today I am going to teach you how to anchor a circle of excellence.To do so do the following:

1. Draw a circle (using your imagination or get chalk/tape to do it physically) on the ground in front of you. large enough to step into.

2. Within that circle imagine every good thing about yourself. Consider every goal you have achieved, every great thing you have done, each source of strength and positivity you have and place it in the circle. involve your senses and imagine the colors, shapes, sounds, and feelings building inside the circle as you observe from the outside.

3. Physically jump or step into your circle. Take a deep breath and feel what you feel from the positive vibrations.  Enjoy it for a bit!

4.Think about the next day, week, month or year and what learnings you would like to take from the circle and apply to these time periods.

5. Enjoy it for a little longer and then slowly step out taking the learnings with you.Now you have created a circle of excellence that you can literally take with you wherever you go and access it whenever you need to.
