Why Do We Run From Adversity?

What is the real reason we avoid difficulties?

Research says that human behavior is driven by two forces.

One to seek pleasure and the second reason is to avoid pain.

In my own life, I’d have to agree that those were the two factors that determined my decisions.

But what I have come to see is that after all of these years, avoiding pain can be extremely problematic.

Most peoples spend their entire life trying to do everything in their power to remain comfortable. And in the end comfort is what they get while growth is NOT.

My favorite quote by Shia LaBeouf goes as “Adversity has a way of introducing a man to himself“

Allow your adversity to help you better understand yourself and to develop into who you were called to be.
