Silencing the Shame and Stigma

Although the general perception of mental illness has improved in recent years, studies show that stigma against those with mental illness is still powerful and that most people attach negative stigmas to mental illness at a far higher rate than to other diseases and disabilities.

What truly causes stigma is the lack of education

All of us go through tough changes in our life.

It’s estimated that over 40% of adults struggle with anxiety.

16.2 million perfect of adults have dealt with depression at least one time.

Today I want to discuss how to break the stigma around getting help or being hurt

You may hear things like something is wrong with you or you’re being weak

That’s the furthest thing from the truth. Getting help is the strongest and the best thing you can do to heal your hurt and live a full life Here is how to break free from the stigma
1. Don’t equate yourself with your situation
